R.T. Reese and his bride Henrietta arrived in Monona County, Iowa in 1856. Before long they built the family home – since expanded and still standing gracefully and protected in the hills overlooking the Little Sioux and the Missouri River Valleys. R.T., a settler, saddle maker, and farmer, also became a pioneer merchant and helped found the once-bustling town of Turin. The Reese property has been home to four generations of this family steeped in a tradition of care and preservation. After 154 years, its accumulation of antiques, collectibles, and vintage treasures will be auctioned.
